About FirstSqueak

Most product reviews are written in the first week, when everything still works. What people actually want to know is whether it lasts. Did the zipper hold? Did the battery survive two winters? Would the owner buy it again?

FirstSqueak collects that missing information. Owners review what they bought, and we check back with them after 1, 6 and 12 months, then every year. Their answers become durability data that anyone can read.

What we believe

• Buy less, buy durable. The most sustainable product is the one you don't have to replace.
• Repair counts. A product that can be fixed deserves credit for it.
• Honesty over hype. We show uncertainty and sample sizes, and we say "No long-term data yet" when that's the truth.
